Tips for Finding a Driving School

PRLog (Press Release) – May 03, 2011 – There are lots of driving schools in the UK and it isn't easy finding the right one. Here are a few tips on what to look for when looking for a driving school.

There are lots of driving schools, so should I just go with the cheapest? Just because a school is cheap doesn't mean you will save money. If one school charged £15 an hour, but the instructor is not very good and it takes you sixty hours of lessons to pass then this would cost you £900. However if a better driving instructor charges £20 per hour but you pass in forty hours then it would only cost you £800. So this would save you £100, plus 20 hours saving for you to work more, so this could then save you another £150, so now you have saved £250 and you have learnt with a quality instructor!

Should I take lessons during the week or at weekends? Sometimes if you have a lesson before 1600 on a week day then the lesson is cheaper. Weekends and evening often cost more. I would recommend however that you have some lessons at weekends, rush hour and evenings to allow you to experience and learn about driving at different times. It i 2011 Chrysler ni ssan GTR specification 200 Convertible s amazing how many experienced drivers say that the goverment technology y don't like driving at night because they only learnt to drive in the day time. Whenever I teach I always try to get students used to 'real life' driving such as darkness, rain and rush hour. It is also good to get experience driving on 'A Roads' to get used to faster moving traffic.

How many lessons a week should I have? This really depends on how many hours you can afford. I always advise students to have at least ninety minute lessons and if possible two hour lessons. One hour lessons always go too fast and by the time you drive somewhere it is time to drive home again! 2011 Dodge Durango R / T If possible I would recommend two lessons a week to ensure progress, but once a week is also ok.

I'm worried about driving You should discuss any concerns, fears, phobias with your instructor and hopefully he will put your mind at rest and work through your worries. You should try not to worry too much as learning to drive is a new skill and it is quite normal to be anxious.

Most importantly your instructor should put you first, work with you and work as a team to pass your test!
