PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 02, 2011 - The Shelby American Collection, a nonprofit museum dedicated to preserving the heritage of American racecars designed by Carroll Shelby, will celebrate its 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible 15th anniversary here on August 6 with a special event focused on the Golden Age of auto racing and the Cobra-Ferrari Wars that defined the zenith of the American auto industry in the 1960s.

• A special autograph session with world championship team drivers Bob Bondurant, Jack Sears, Allen Grant, Lew Spencer and Tom Yeager. • Two of the most significant cars in Shelby's quest for the World Championship: the CSX 2299, the Le Mans/Sebring/Daytona-winning Cobra Daytona Coupe and CSX 2345, the SPA/ Sierra-M goverment technology vette-z06-specs.html">2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 ontana/Tourist Trophy/Rossfeld Hillclimb-winning FIA Cobra Roadster. • Outdoor vintage car show with over 30 cars from the era including Cobras, Ferraris and other racing automobiles. • Live '60s music by local band The Modniks.
